Hello, I'm Jessica.
And I photograph people in love. Real, free, wild, I-can't-stop-smiling love.
I am from rural Illinois, and flat farmland forever holds a special place in my heart. I moved to the South in 2004 to attend Savannah College of Art and Design and decided to never leave. I have been eating grits ever since.
In 2010, I married my favorite person on the planet, Neil, and adopted Murphy the dog, who has very few skills but is a great snuggler.
I love long meals, house plants, hiking, craft beer, colored tights, exploring, auctions, coffee, art history and Pat Conroy novels.
I believe the gospel of Jesus to be true, and it effects the way I see everything else. I am regularly struck by the beauty of things around me, and maybe that's why I pick up my camera. I think love is beautiful, and I think the distinct way you laugh and how your love touches your face are details worth paying attention to.
Your wedding day will go by so quickly, and my hope is to provide you with photographs that act as tangible reminders of real moments and real feelings. The future will have it's fill of hard days, and if the photo hanging on your wall can remind you of the love you have for one another and all the love that surrounded you on your wedding day, well, that is a beautiful thing.
